What is a dry skin?
The skin is naturally protected by a hydrolipidic barrier composed of sebum (lipids) and water. Dry skin actually doesn’t produce enough of lipids which weakens the protective ability of the skin barrier. Not only does it get more sensitive to exterior aggressions but also has a hard time keeping the water from the cells that evaporates because of the lack of a protective layer. Less flexible, it marks and wrinkles more easily. All this to say that dry skin needs nourishing facial care in order to get oily substances back, avoid getting dehydrated and become supple again. However, here are some the advantages to it: a beautiful and thin skin texture.
